I suppose this post falls into the, “What goes around comes around” category. In 1995, my father wanted me to take over two dozen 40-pound containers of wheat that were packed in the early 1970’s with me 2,000 miles from Utah to Pennsylvania. He said the wheat should be good for thousands of years based on archeological findings of wheat buried with ancient Egyptian pharaohs. I finally convinced him that since I would be renting, there wouldn’t be enough room, so the food storage remained in his basement. Twenty years later, Dad had the last laugh, when my family returned to Utah and he moved in with us, food storage and all. He died over a year ago, and the wheat remains in my basement.
